Spinach and Garlic Pizza
1 Package pizza dough
1 cup chopped spinach
1 jar dried minced garlic or 8 chopped cloves
8oz cream cheese
1 cup half and half
1 tbsp water as needed
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella
1 tbsp lemon juice
Salt and pepper to taste
Preheat oven to 475 degrees
Roll and stretch pizza dough to desired size on floured and greased baking sheet
In double boiler or stovetop melt butter, add spinach, garlic, and lemon juice then stir until wilted
Add the cream cheese in small chunks and stir until softened, then add half and half or milk to thin so it is the consistency of a hot-dip.
Add lemon and seasonings as needed until you get the “cozy dip that warms your soule taste” You will usually need more lemon, garlic, and cream.
Spread “sauce” on pizza dough leaving a 1 inch border and sprinkle with shredded cheese and a dash of minced garlic
Bake for 15 minutes until top is golden brown and bottom of crust is golden. Enjoy!
